Jalie 2806

This one was an easy and quick sew.  I cut out the fabric last weekend and sewed it up today.

I sewed the version with tulip sleeves and a gathered neckline. As usual Jalie pattern are well drafted with nice details.  The cotton spandex was purchased from Watertower Textiles and its a really nice quality. I will for sure be using this pattern again!

Twin Quilt

Hello....I've got several projects to share. First up is a twin size quilt. I purchased the kit a few years ago on clearance. Sewed up the top and then shoved it into a closet as sandwiching and pinning a quilt is not my favourite step.

It came out quite nice. And it's good to have it out of the closet.  Have another queen sized quilt that needs to be finished yet....maybe April!

Plaid Grainline Archer

Okay....I confess that this one was sewn a few months ago but I was too lazy to sew on the buttons until one evening this week. Didn't help that the original buttons I purchased didn't work out so I had to get new ones.

I cut the collar, back yoke and cuffs on the bias. Hmm need to start taking better pics.

Style 127 Burda 02/2013

I'm on a roll sewing this month! Didn't share this last post but I have a few sewing goals this year.

First is to sew 50 yards of fabric for the year which is a challenge I read about on pattern review forum.  I don't have anywhere near the fabric stashes as some people on there but I do have fabrics that I've collected that need to get sewn up.

Second goal is to start using my Burda magazines....I've collected several issues over the past few years but haven't used one in a couple years.

Pretty simple pattern with only 3 pieces plus a binding. I did make this one up a few years ago but lost my tracing.

Since I had it all traced out, I sewed it up twice! Both from a rayon spandex knit that I purchased online at Watertower Textiles. They are a Canadian fabric shop with apparel fabric. I also purchased my supplex for the yoga pants from them.

Hard to get good pics on the dress form.

Anyways 6 yards down ytd and I just traced another Burda pattern this am.

Yoga pants - Jalie 3022

Finished off 2 pairs of black yoga pants using Jalie 3022.

Unfortunately black does photograph well. I've made this pattern several times before. Love Jalie for their drafting. They make up quickly except for attaching the elastic.  Next up Burda magazine pattern for a couple of knit tops.

Xmas Moose

Finished my fist item in a long time! Appliqué patchwork Xmas fabric moose.

I forgot to take a picture of the pattern before I put it away but trust had really ugly artwork for the cover.  This was a prettty easy project and came together pretty quick. Good way to use up small amounts of leftover fabric in the stash.

I've got a few WIP's to finish up and get posted.  Soon hopefully.

Butterwick 6388

I loved Butterwick 6388 view D as soon as I saw its release.
It's sporty but classy at the same time. I sewed this up in a size large adding my usual length adjustments for a long torso. The fabric is a cotton poly sweatshirt that I picked up in Fabricland. Pattern calls for 2.17 meters of fabric, there was only 1.7 meters left on the bolt and I was easily able to fit the pattern on the amount I had. So apparently Butterwick is generous with their fabric allowance.

It's so cozy and warm. Perfect for winter. Fabricland has a New Years sale coming up and I hope to get more fabric to make another. More to come.....
