With the last of my chocolate brown Merino wool knit I made a cardigan from Burda magazine issue 03/2013 style 107A. According to reviews this pattern runs very small so I sized up as I didn't want a tight fitting cardigan. This will be a good wardrobe staple and pattern I'm sure I will make again :)

Like all sewists, I love fabric and shopping for it. Unfortunately, I live in a fabric desert. There is only one independent store and Fabricland chains available nearby.
So when a tailor/custom garment maker was clearing out access fabric at 50 percent off, I jumped at the chance to pick up some beautiful and high quality fabrics. Wool for $10 a meter, yes please.
The 3 identical print knits on the left will be summer dresses. The dark navy knit above the green fabric will be used right away for a wrap cardigan. The pink floral will be either a skirt or the bottom half of a dress. The 2 wool pieces in front of it will be skirts. Finally the linen floral on the sofa arm will be a shift dress. All of this for only $100 :).

I've been a bad blogger as of late. First there was sewing but no blogging and then there was also no sewing.
I completed Newlook 6071 way back in November. This was my second go at this pattern so it was a pretty quick make. I used some more of my chocolate brown merino wool (I so wish I had this fabric is multiple colors) and still had enough leftover for another make.
More posts to come.......
